This week's school is on Friday, Nov 11, 2011.
Start Time: 6:30 pm
Next school day is Dec 3rd, 2011 ((Saturday 6:30-9:20 PM).
Please note that the both gyms are available to us this Friday.
2. School Announcement
(0)Parents auditing (staying) in the classroom need to get permission from the teachers
It has been brought to the school admin team's attention that there may be some parents staying in the classrooms without permission of the teachers. We'd like to remind you that the school rules state that you need you get the classroom's teacher's permission to be able to sit in the classroom. It is particularly important that the classrooms here at PCA is smaller than our previous West Mid-school ones, and crowded classroom will affect the teachers' effectiveness to teach. Please help our teachers be more effective in the classrooms.
(1) Public Speech Class
Parents of the students who will continue to attend the public speech class please go to the on-duty desk to make payment ($150 for rest of school year, plus $10 late fee)
Xiaoling Chen is the substitute teacher of the class for October. Mr.Givens will take over the class after October. Mr. Givens is a very experienced teacher and has taught public speaking class for college level for many years.
Brief introduction of Xiaoling Chen (substitute teacher): Xiaoling Chen graduated with major in English from Shanghai Foreign Language University. She is very familar with the format and contents of English public speech class. She is also a member of PCCLC administration team.
(2)Changes and Updates of Classes and class rooms
A), Photography Workshop -- no Class (since Charles Liu on Duty)
B), We will have SAT math class this Friday.
C), Dance/Aerobic Fitness class will be held in the small gym 8:30PM-
(3) Usages of GYMs
The big and small gyms are only for the use of adult basketball and volleyball players ($60/year), Children basketbal and volleyball classes ($120/year), parent aerobic class ($15/night as a group for rental), parent dance class ($50/for rest of year) in 3rd hour, and parents resting. For the safey concern, kids, especially little kids, please do not run around the gyms or play basketball or volleyball in the gyms if they are not in Children basketball or volleyball classes. Your corporation is greatly appreciated.

(4) This Week's Principle On-Duty
Principals on duty for this week (Nov 11) are Charles Liu and Feng Ren. Tony Ge and Xiaomi Zhang are the principals on duty for next school day (Dec. 03).
(5) General Tasks for High School Helpers
Below is a list of tasks for high school helpers:
- ring the bell when classes start, break, and end;
- help principles on-duty to collect GYM fee;
- keep the hall way quiet and stop kids from running in the hall way;
- make sure tables and chairs are in order in classrooms after classes are over;
- help to fold back the tables and benches after school is over
- carry on other tasks that principles on-duty assign to you
(6) CSAUS 2011 Chinese Culture Contest (º£Í⻪ÒáÇàÉÙÄêÖлªÎÄ»¯ÖªÊ¶¾ºÈü) host by China QiaoBan, organized by CSAUS (Chinese School Association in the United States)
Test Site: Our school classrooms
Test date: Friday, Nov 11 6:30 pm
Registration: All our Advanced Chinese Class students are registered through school, including Chinese AP, Advanced Chinese 8 & 7.
